Another Summer Come and Gone

Its true. Summer is almost over. This time of year is always bittersweet- I am sad to say goodbye to the easy going and lovely life of summer, but excited to see what the school year brings and to be back in routine again. Whats crazy is that this will be my last time having a first day of school at CCA. This girl can hardly believe that.

Anyway, this summer has been quite amazing though. Anaheim. Disneyland. FBLA NLC. Spokane. Coffee with Friends. Many evening ice cream cones with the best pals. Movies. Volleyball. Crew. Family Camp. And now just a little over a week left of this lovely time. This last week might not be so lovely though as I try to finish everything I am supposed to before school...oh well. Math, Volleyball workouts, Junior Thesis- I WILL conquer you.

Before I wrap up summer, enjoy these :)

Family Camp was a blast. I got to take these cute kids to the snack shack.

Those sunsets seem even prettier when you are at Warm Beach

I had fun with the youngest Unger and Snyder.

And I leave you with this one from crew. I am in the purple sweatshirt. Rowing was such a good experience and I am so glad I did it.

Enjoy the rest of summer!

saying goodbye and saying hello

You want to know something crazy? The first day of school is in less than a month. As with every year, I am half dreading it, but half excited. Life these past 2 years has been so different. Each year has been with a different class and this year will be no different. Last year was one of the best years ever and it is hard to say goodbye to those people. Don't get me wrong, I am so excited to be with the Juniors this year, but I will miss the graduates too.

I spent the night at Emily's last night and this morning we were chatting and were remembering how spoiled we were on Valentines day this year. In the morning we were greeted with roses, chocolate, and cards by the guys. Then after school, they took us to Red Robin. I mean what other class has done that?! We were very blessed. Then after dinner, we chased the sunset and ended up at this little park in Bellevue.

I will miss these times.

I will miss Luke's trademark parking job.

I will miss Hunter.

I will miss my OCD twin and friend Kels.

I will miss our craziness.

I will miss watching the guys play basketball and I will miss playing volleyball with Kelsey and Jackie.

But I am excited to become a part of this class.
I am excited to see what memories we will make together.

Here is to 2013-2014. My senior year. I can hardly believe this is my last year in High School. The expression "time flies" is way beyond true. But I can't wait to cherish the moments this year...this last year. I can't believe the journey I have been on and can't wait to see how it finishes out.

there is nothing like a sister

Today is my eldest sister's birthday. She is pretty cool if you ask me. My earliest memories of her are when she and I shared a room when I was little. She must have been 13 or 14 at the time. At the age of  2/3 I probably wasn't the best roomie. I often stole her mints when she wasn't looking, took her spare quarters and dimes for my toy fund, and probably talked her ear off every single night (sorry!), but she put up with me and I am so grateful for her.

She has been an amazing example to me all my life. And now that she is a mom of 3 kids 3 and under I am able to see what a selfless and compassionate mom looks like. She is my hero.

I am so grateful to have you as a big sister Miss! I love you very much and hope you have the most incredible day.

Happy Birthday!

Love
-Sarah-
